This book started as a series of articles to answer both specific
questions that I have been asked, as well as
questions that I was curious about myself. While addressing these
questions, I realized that many commonly held "truths" about
die-casting were scientifically incorrect. Because of the
importance of these results, I have decided to make them
available to the wider community of die-casting engineers.
However, there is a powerful group of individuals who want to
keep their monopoly over ``knowledge'' in the die-casting industry
and to prevent the spread of this information. Because of this, I have decided that the best way to
disseminate this information is to write a book.

one place.
